Camputer ART Series:  Now you can own the same advanced scope technology that made U.S. military snipers in South Vietnam feared by enemy soldiers from the North. Developed by Jim Leatherwood, his now famous ART (Automatic Ranging & Trajectory) scopes made it easier for the military to train qualified long-range snipers by practically eliminating the need to estimate range. Thanks to a simple to read  "through the lens"  ranging system and fully adjustable external Camputer Cam System, soldiers were able to precisely place shots at ranges far beyond the practical limits of open sights or conventional telescopic sights – without having to guess the range or calculate bullet drop. Over the years, Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Optics Camputer scope system has been steadily improved, and is still in the use by military and law enforcement snipers. Now Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Optics is inducing the new revolutionary ART scope that has the interchangeable Cam system like the M-1000.

Uni-Dial Series: Pre-calibrated vertical (elevation) adjustment knobs or dials have been in use for about 100 years. The problem is that at the longer ranges, It is not practical to provide dials to cover a large variety of calibers and indeed. It is further compounded by other factors such as different bullets, barrel lengths, etc.

Although our Camputer Model 1000 ART scope and our 3-D mount have opened up whole new dimensions to the world of long range shooting, there are many precision long range shooters who still want to use a conventional style scope.

In the past there were two options for long range shooting: shoot a specific load or tape a chart of “ computes” to the rifle stock. The Uni-Dial™ is designed to solve the problem.

By using a series of ten moveable indicators or flags, the shooter can set the range zero points himself. The dial is calibrated in minutes so that the Flags can be set according to the ballistic data. Once set, the flags are locked in place and the dial is operated in a conventional manner. The vertical dial has ½ minute click adjustment and windage knob has ¼ minute clicks. Both adjustments have a tope to prevent the shooter from getting “lost” as to where his zero is. But both adjustments can be unlocked from the stops to permit zeroing.

The flags are numbered from 1 to 10. All allow the shooter to pre-program elevation and windage for up to ten different ranges, or with different loads - and each can be locked in place and returned to within seconds. The total minutes of elevation change for is about 60 MOA. There are about 20 minutes for initial zeroing. One full-turn for the change of elevation is 42 MOA. The Uni-Dial™ scopes now have all improved with a wider range of variable magnifications. The 3X-12X, 4X-16X, 6X-24X, and 7X-30X in the UNI-DIAL Series are brighter, precise and tougher built 30mm scopes that are featured the handy Top-Angle Focus. The 2.5 - 10 Uni-Dial scope is made with a 1" tube. This scope is designed for those people who already have the 1" rings and just want to replace the scope. With the new All Terrain Design, the 2.5 - 10 Uni-Dial becomes  the brightest 1" diameter scope available today. All the Uni-Dial scopes come with the extended sunshade.

Multi-Dial Series: Here is one of the most versatile scopes available today, especially for the shooter who owns one of the multi-barrel rifle systems. The ATR Multi-Dial allows the shooter to use one scope for up to five different barrels, and once a barrel is sighted in, that setting can be easily returned to thanks to four programmable sighting rings on both the elevation and windage turrets.

For the shooter who uses one rifle for everything, this scope can also be pre-sighted for up to five different loads... or for five different ranges. And it can be returned to each of those settings in a matter of seconds.

The larger 30mm tube diameter of this 3-9x40mm scope allows more light transmission for a brighter sight picture during those low-light hunting situations without having to go to a larger objective lens and higher mounts. This is a solidly built, bright and precise 3-9x40mm scope, featuring a No-Math Mil Dot Reticule.

Toby Bridges Series: Muzzle loading hunters now demand more from their rifles and loads than ever before, and here is a scope designed and built to fully tap all of that performance. The new Leatherwood / Hi-Lux "HIGH PERFORMANCE MUZZLELOADING" scope is the idea of today's leading modern in-line muzzle loading rifle authority - Toby Bridges.

In addition to the primary crosshair, the 3-9x40mm HPML scope features three lower short crosshairs that provide reticules for shooting at longer ranges. The positions of these additional reticules were determined by thousands of rounds fired with today's more popular saboted muzzle loading bullets at a wide range of velocities.

With a high ballistic coefficient 250 grain polymer tipped spire-point bullet, shot at 1,950 to 2,000 f.p.s., this scope can be sighted "on" at 100 yards, and the lower crossbars will point the load "on" at 200…225… and 250 yards. Each HPML scope will be shipped with a chart that provides points of impact for other popular loads and bullets. This scope has black matt and sliver finishes.

Red-Dot Series: There are hunting and shooting situations when open sights or a scope may not be the best choice. For those special purpose applications, the Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Red-Dot Series electronic sights could be the answer to your shooting or hunting success. Hand gunners are discovering how much easier it is to simply place the illuminated dot of these sights on their target rather than attempting to align the front sight in the rear sight notch and holding the sight picture as the trigger is squeezed.

Turkey hunters appreciate being able to track the approach of an old gobbler without worrying about whether or not the front bead of the shotgun is high or low. And muzzle loading hunters in those states where telescopic sights are not allowed during the special muzzleloader seasons are now turning to non-magnifying Red-Dot sights for a more positive aiming point. Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Red-Dot Series sights are extremely compact and lightweight. The brightness of the dot can be easily adjusted for easier sighting in either bright or low-light conditions. This sight is fully waterproof and shockproof. Available in 25mm, and 30mm with rings and 30mm, 42mm, and 50mm with integral mounts. The ES1x30TP and ES1x50TP come with The Ribbed Rubber Edge Guards.

Wm. Malcolm Series: Fine Vintage Style riflescopes for Fine Vintage Style Rifles

Malcolm is the oldest name in scope manufacturing, established in 1855. Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Optics has stepped back in the time to once again produce this historic line of telescopic rifle sights, bringing to today’s shooter authentic styling with the added benefits of modern scope production, including far brighter fully multi-coated lenses and sealed tube construction.

The finest quality reproduction vintage style riflescopes available today! Three basic models cover scoping needs, from late percussion muzzleloaders through the black powder cartridge rifle era and for the early "smokeless cartridge" rifle models. Both the long 1860s-1870s style "Wm. Malcolm" scope and the shorter late 1880s-1890s style models come with appropriate and authentically styled mounts of those periods.

True to the originals, the long-tube model features a graduated "rabbit-eared" rear mount, the short-tube model a "caged" rear mount. Both are adjustable for the windage and elevation.

The three available Malcolm scope models are as:

  • An early style long-tube 6x version

  • A shorter 3x 17” model

  • A short 6x 18” short scope.

The longer model is right at home on either 1840-1860 style long-range muzzle-loaded bullet rifles or wide range of late 1800s black powder rifles. The shorter Malcolm is ideal for many of the single-shot and lever-action cartridge rifles produced during the late 1880s and 1890s.

An ever growing selection of the mount bases now include the side mounts for various sharps rifle models,

the off-set mount set for the long Malcolm scope on a round barrel Percussion rifle, Remington rolling block rifles, Winchester Model 1885 rifle, H&R “ Buffalo Classic”, Winchester ’73, ’76, ’92 & ‘94 models, Henry “Golden Boy” .22, Marlin ’94 / ’95 models, and others.
