Before attempting to remove that float tube Most good armorers or gunsmiths use some sort of thread locker seal on their float tubes when they assemble them. It is normal to use of a propane torch and only 170 degrees applied to the threaded area of the float tube to break the Loc-tite loose. If the tube is still stuck tight then try a good penetrating oil (not WD40), sometimes corrosion grows in between the barrel nut and the float tube. Give the penetrating oil time to work before attempting to remove the tube. This sounds silly but make sure the tube does not have screws thru the tube into the barrel nut keeping it from un-screwing from the barrel nut. Instructions for the use of this tool; Place the strap around the tube near the threaded end and pull loose end of strap tight around tube.
